On Dec 1st 2007 a dinner and dance fund raising function was organised in support of the water project. There were dignitaries from various walks of life. We were honoured to have Solicitor Rati Shah as chief guest. In his speech he made aware the worrying situation in Kenya and what our moral responsibility is towards fellow friends in Kenya.
Kenya is currently divided into 2 zones. One being the main city and the other being remote areas. People living in the remote areas suffer from lack of clean and healthy drinking water. Young children who should be going to school and becoming educated people are instead searching for water. Often walking for various miles. Can you imagine in a country like the UK being without water? Young children walking for miles in the search for water? So far we have started in the Eastern area of Kenya. (Machakos, Kitut Districts.) Our aim over a period of time is to have enough boreholes in as many remote locations so it will be easy for the villages around to access good, clean, healthy water.
Please be generous and donate some money to this project. We are continuing to put these boreholes with hand pumps in as many remote areas in Kenya as possible.
Africa Water - A Journey to fetch water...
From all donations received, Every Penny will be given directly to complete each and every borehole.
